Tips to stay healthy at home
If you decide to go outside to walk or run or exercise be sure to practice physical distancing. Wash your hands with soap and water before you leave home and as soon as you get home.
If you’re not regularly active, start slow. Try walking or low-impact exercises for short amounts of time. Gradually build up to 30 minutes or more continuously over a few weeks.
Take short 3-5 minutes breaks every 20-30 minutes. Simply stand up and stretch or take a walk around the house.
Active&Fit Direct benefits
The $25 enrollment fee is waived through August.
If you’re already a member of Active&Fit Direct and your gym is not available during this time, you can choose a $25 credit for the month you’re unable to work out at the facility. The monthly credits will be applied to future months. If you choose to take the credits, you will still have access to the Home Fitness Program at no cost. And when your gym does open, you can start working out there without re-enrolling.
To enroll, sign in to your GEHA account and click the Active&Fit Direct image at the top of your member dashboard. You'll be taken to the Active&Fit Direct site where you can learn more about the program.
These benefits are neither offered nor guaranteed under contract with the FEHB Program, but are made available to all enrollees and family members who become members of GEHA’s HDHP, Standard Option or High Option plan.
