The house call is back
GEHA | September 8, 2020
Put out the welcome mat for a house call.
DispatchHealth, a partner of GEHA, sends qualified medical teams to your doorstep when you are sick or injured, offering everything an urgent care center can.
This new twist on an old-time idea is available for members of GEHA’s Elevate or Elevate Plus medical plans. While expanding, the service is currently offered only in select locations throughout the country.
A team to trust
For every house call, DispatchHealth sends a physician assistant or nurse practitioner along with a medical technician. An on-call physician is available at all times by phone. DispatchHealth medical teams are available around the clock, every day of the year.
When to call DispatchHealth
DispatchHealth is appropriate for injuries and illnesses ranging from common to complex, including COVID-19 symptoms. Medical teams can treat:
- Eye injuries
- Facial injuries
- Skin infections
- Cuts requiring stitches or glue
- Digestive ailments including vomiting or constipation
