Options for health advice without going to a doctor's office
GEHA | December 8, 2019
GEHA medical members can receive health advice and access convenient health care options anytime, day or night, via phone, video or in person.
Health Advice Line
The Health Advice Line is staffed by registered nurses who help evaluate symptoms and determine an appropriate method of treatment, which may include home-based remedies, referral to an urgent care facility or walk-in clinic.
Call 888.257.4342 to speak with a registered nurse 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You will need your member ID number available when you call. If you're calling GEHA's Health Advice Line from outside the United States, call collect at 709.835.8243.
Telemedicine
Telemedicine is a way to get virtual access to board certified doctors and therapists. All GEHA medical members are eligible for telemedicine powered by MDLIVE.
MDLIVE is designed to handle non-emergency medical conditions and behavioral health issues and can often be an alternative for a doctor's visit, urgent care center or emergency room visit. Telemedicine is not intended to replace your primary care doctor or to be used in life-threatening emergencies. E-prescriptions can be sent to your local pharmacy, if required. Learn more about MDLIVE including the covered conditions.
Activate your MDLIVE account or call 888.912.1183
