As your dedicated partner in health, GEHA is always there for you — especially in these moments. GEHA medical members get the right care at the right time, no matter the time of day or day of the week. You can also receive health advice and access convenient health care options via phone, video or in-person using these options.
Health Advice Line
Call 888.257.4342 to speak with a registered nurse – any time, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You will need to have your member ID number available when you call. If you’re calling GEHA’s Health Advice Line from outside the United States, call collect at 709.835.8243.
The Health Advice Line nurses can help evaluate symptoms and determine an appropriate method of treatment, which may include home-based remedies, referral to an urgent care facility or walk-in clinic, or accessing our telehealth service to speak with a physician.
Telehealth
Telehealth is a way to get virtual access to doctors, dermatologists and therapists. All GEHA medical members are eligible for telehealth powered by MDLIVE.
MDLIVE is designed to handle non-emergency medical conditions and behavioral health issues and can often substitute for a doctor’s office, urgent care center or emergency room visit. Telehealth is not intended to replace your primary care doctor or to be used in life-threatening emergencies. E-prescriptions can be sent to your local pharmacy, if required.
Learn more about MDLIVE, including the covered conditions and activate your account or call 888.912.1183.
