Members have asked for an easier, faster and more personalized experience. We listened. Beginning January 1, 2025, G.E.H.A members will have access to a brand-new secure member portal and experience called MyGEHA. This experience is available via a browser on any device or the new MyGEHA app.
The new portal experience is designed to provide seamless access to health and benefits information. It's a convenient and secure way to stay on top of health coverage, access or upload claims, connect to important sites like CVS Caremark and MDLIVE, and manage your benefits. All the information is personalized to the member, with personal details securely accessible behind a login. Although geha.com is a public website, only members can see their personalized MyGEHA portal. The portal has been designed based on member feedback to create a richer, yet streamlined experience.
The new MyGEHA portal sits on an updated, robust and secure platform that will require a new registration, even if a member has registered for the legacy portal experience. Registration can begin on December 10, 2024, but the full experience won't be available until January 1, 2025. The legacy portal and app can still be used for the 2024 plan year, but will no longer be available after December 31, 2024.
It's critical to have everything in one place. The new MyGEHA experience includes many of the features members have asked for:
- Instant access to a digital ID card
Easily access a digital ID card anytime, anywhere, directly from the app or browser version of the portal. - Plan details and claims
View your plan details on demand, including claims, balances, deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums. - Single sign-on
With one tap or click, health plan members can securely access sites like CVS Caremark (for prescriptions) or MDLIVE (for telehealth) without needing to log in again. (HSA Bank single sign-on coming soon.) - Find a provider
Searching for in-network providers, medical facilities or dental offices is now easier. You can find the right care provider for you or your family, wherever you are. - Personalized health tips
The personalized features help identify healthy actions tailored to your unique needs and preferences.
What members need to know
The new MyGEHA secure member portal will replace the legacy G.E.H.A app and portal. To access the new portal, you will need to complete a quick and easy registration process — even if you were previously registered on the legacy version. This ensures access to all of the member-requested features.
For registration on geha.com:
- Visit the new MyGEHA secure member portal.
- The HealthSafe ID login screen will appear, where you can either log in to your existing account or select Register now.
- After selecting Register now, you'll be directed to the HealthSafe ID registration screen.
- Once your identity is validated, enter your preferred username, password and a valid email address (each email must be different for each user).
- Choose your multi-factor authentication method: either Text or Call.
- Enter your phone number. You will receive a confirmation code via text or call. Enter the code to complete the process.
- Once the code is successfully entered, you will see a confirmation that your account has been created. A recap of the information you entered will be shown, with the option to Continue to your account.
- You will then be taken to your MyGEHA dashboard.
- You now have access to the new MyGEHA secure member portal.
For registration on the MyGEHA app:
- Open the MyGEHA app on your smartphone. You will be presented with the HealthSafe ID login screen, where you can either log in to an existing account or select Register now.
- After selecting Register now, you'll be directed to the HealthSafe ID registration screen.
- Once your identity is validated, enter your preferred username, password and a valid email address (each email must be different for each user).
- Select your multi-factor authentication method: either Text or Call.
- Enter your phone number. You will receive a confirmation code via text or call. Enter the code to proceed.
- After successfully entering the code, you'll receive a confirmation that your account has been created. A recap of the information you entered will appear, and you’ll have the option to Continue to your account.
