GEHA is here to support you and your baby during your pregnancy, time in the hospital and transition home. This benefit is included with your GEHA medical plan.*

*If Medicare or other coverage is your primary payer, you are not personally eligible for this program but your covered family members are.

Who we are — and how to reach us:


GEHA’s Maternity and NICU Support Team provides a dedicated maternity nurse who gives personalized support and guidance. Our nurses have extensive experience and specialized training in labor and delivery, obstetric nursing, breastfeeding and neonatal intensive care.

To speak with a Maternity and NICU Case Manager, call 888.216.8246 and press 2 if you are a member. You will then be prompted to press 2 to speak with a Maternity and NICU Case Manager.

Customer Care is your primary contact for claims and benefits questions, and can be reached at 800.821.6136.

  • Help navigate your high risk pregnancy and obtain resources for the best pregnancy outcome possible
  • Provide you information regarding your breast pump benefits as well as other benefits
  • Collaborate with your provider and assist you and the hospital team with discharge planning
  • Follow up after your baby’s stay in the NICU or special nursery to answer your questions and respond to your needs
  • Provide postpartum support, education and resources
  • Educate you on how to care for yourself and your newborn using the latest evidence-based tools and resources
